What you’ll do

• Diagnose and repair residential air-conditioning and heat-pump systems.
• Complete planned maintenance methodically, recording system readings, findings, and recommended next steps.
• Follow the assigned checklist through closeout even on familiar systems; confirm the work, restore panels and the work area, and flag anything still open.
• Explain findings clearly, protect customer property, and communicate early when access, scope, or timing changes.
• Support replacement, indoor-air-quality, and dehumidification work when assigned.

What you bring

• Hands-on residential HVAC or closely related field-service experience, with EPA 608 status and relevant certifications described in the application.
• Consistent preparation, safe work, complete documentation, clear communication, and ownership of customer follow-through.
• Initiative to surface missing information, tools, access, or unresolved work early instead of waiting for a routine issue to become a callback.
• Willingness to give repeatable maintenance and closeout steps the same attention as difficult diagnostics.

Preferred experience

Experience with residential air-conditioning, heat pumps, planned maintenance, electrical or refrigeration diagnostics, and explaining findings to homeowners or property contacts is useful. EPA 608 status is requested in the application. No minimum experience or certification requirement is published until owner-approved.

Compensation, schedule, and benefits

Base pay of $25–$32/hour (based on diagnostic experience and EPA certification) plus 5% commission on sales (qualifying repairs, maintenance agreements, and system replacement opportunities). Assigned take-home company truck with fuel card and steady, year-round residential work across South Walton and 30A. Please note: Traditional group health insurance and retirement plans are not offered.

Service area and work environment

Field personnel take assigned service trucks home and dispatch directly to residential calls across Santa Rosa Beach, South Walton, and 30A. The Freeport facility serves as the supply, parts, and touchdown hub—not a residency boundary. Candidates living in or near Santa Rosa Beach or elsewhere within a practical response range are encouraged to apply. Work may involve primary homes, second homes, and vacation-rental properties, plus equipment affected by coastal humidity and salt-air exposure. Assignments depend on current customer needs.
